The half built Church

If you came into Blackwood from Melbourne you undouteble drive in through Greendale. As you enter the town you may have noticed a half built church. Here is an interesting folk lore tale about that church. There are stories about how Captain Moonlite was working as a lay preacher, signing religious books and preaching in Bacchus Marsh. Captain Moonlite was no stranger to crime and was know to frequent Both Blackwood and Green Hills and folklore story tells the tale that he stole stole the donated money that was to be used to complete the church in Greendale and so that is the reason the church was never complted.
